As a VERY new and inexperienced owner of a Triton 2000, I'd like to know how to rip an old oregon board so that its edges are parallel. I realise that I'd lose some width but would rather have a straight-edged narrow board than a fat, wobbly edged one. Help!

Chris, one way of solving your problem is to take TWO cuts at your board.
to make the first cut, nail or screw a piece of timber (or even metal strip) to one edge of your work piece, use this as the reference edge and run the timber throught the saw using the saw fence. NOW you shoule have at least ONE parallel(sp) edge.
To take the second cut, move the fence out to the desired width, and using your NEW straight edge against the fence, run the timber through the saw.
DAAAHH DAHH! straight sided timber.
IF the timber is TOO large for the fence to handle, mark a matching set of points using your new edge as a reference, and then by re-using the scrap timber or metal strip, repeat the process in step 1.
