Now that I know how to use the digital camera,I hope you good people do not get sick of me.
I would like to show a carving that I finished early this year. It is of a old time sailing ship. The timber is Red Cedar and is 560mm high x 440mm wide the finish is oil and wax.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their day.
Regards terry.

Thanks guys for the encouragement.
I had a old plastic mould of the ship so i took a plaster cast of it and used this as a mpdel.

Nice work Schaf

What tools did you use to carve it?

Thanks for the replys.
Metabo, the tools used where Arbortech pro carver and mini carver to rough out and then hand chisels to do the finer work.

Hi Metabo,
No Metabo, I have not tried the power chisels as yet, although I would like to.
Actualy priced the item at carbatec and got a shock at the price.
It is now on the list for the future.

Yep man I would love one too, but the price is a bit rich, but then again 4 swiss gouges would be around $200. Oh maybe for christmas
