Well here is the computer desk I have been building ready to install tomorrow night. I hate Conti board. I did enjoy the challenge really. http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/9114/computerdesk2xz.jpg

Very nice desk. When you are away from your shed at your desk you will be able to keep in touch with reality. Well done.

Love the contrast of the edging against the white board. Nice and big too! Well Done.

I hate Conti board.

What is Conti board, the name doesn't gel here in Australia.

I wondered where you had gone Barry? Are you still singing? :-) Conti board is chipboard faced with melamine plastic, I am not sure what it is called over there in Oz but I am sure it is there. I still hate the stuff and much rather work in wood.

When people ask me if I can sing I say "I can't sing, I'm the wrong colour, I've got no money and the other Barry White has gone but I'm still here."

I suppose over there Conti Board is a brand name over here we just call it melamine, I don't know who invented it, could have been Laminex Industries here.

Actually I just Googled this on Melamine. http://www.mlaust.com/HistoryofPlastics.shtml#MELAMINES

I was just having a read of this website that I just googled and found it very interesting on the history of plastics that was actually put together by an Australian.
