Good Morning,

I have recently acquired some Camphor and was wondering if I could use it as a material to construct a privacy screen to be kept under cover but will b subject to UV exposure. My initial idea is to section the material into 65 x 20 mm battens on a laminated 65 x 40 mm frame.
comments ??

comments ??Mick Camphor seems to be very stable on the quarter...bit of sun wont hurt it but definitely NO moisture or rain on it. Backsawn material will 'open up' if exposed to sunlight though...dresses beautifully too!...MM

Id love to put a clear coat on the Maple to keep its figure or do you think a coloured coat will assist with UV protection

Id love to put a clear coat on the Maple to keep its figure or do you think a coloured coat will assist with UV protectionMick i'll hand that question to someone with more expertise...Feast Watson weatherproof varnish could be an option...a lot of suitable products out there that will give you a clear finish and be U.V stabilised...MM
