Maybe not the right forum but........does anyone have a laser engraver?
Any thoughts on them if you have one!

I have a Make Block MLaser. Very, very happy with the hardware. Software is a bit ordinary, but suffices.

Pricing direct from Makeblock was reasonable. About $400-500ish from memory.

I'm my experience it's a apable and accurate unit, but doesn't cut that deeply. 0.6mm Max capacity on wood, so can just cut veneer if you slow it tight down.

Haven't done anything apart from wood though. So I don't know how it handles other stuff.

I don't have one but have been interested in them - what sort of size are you looking at?
One for a few pens and coasters or something to burn a hole to China?

What do you mean by laser engraver?

I have an Emblaser and it's fantastic.

If you want to put things into the sides of pens, it's a simple matter of making a holding jig. It doesn't, however, have a 360 rotate tool.

It is PERFECT for my veneering/marquetry.
