Team, I am making a trifecta of goods for a friends 50th, matching, cheese board, antique grinder and bottle opener, I had quite a few off cuts so why not. My question is, has anyone used straight oil to finish a pepper grinder, as in liquid parafin, same as I oiled the board.
can anyone see any potential issues with this? I want everything to match, and am afraid if I use eee and shellawax glow I will lose some of the pale colour of the silver ash, and it won't look like the board as a straight match.
i guess eventually it will need re-oiling just like the board will and so to the bottle opener.
any thoughts and comments?
