Hi guys , have been working on a different finish and colour
for this coolibah burl bowl
Any comments and advice welcome !

That has turned out very nicely smiife, you would have to be pleased with that. I'm generally not a big fan of painted turnings but this one works for me. Well done.
Would have liked a photo of the underneath.

Hi Tony , I don, t normally do colour on burls , but I think It works
on this one , photo no.4 is the bottom of the bowl

As the others said, much prefer the wood but this one is very very nice indeed......the more I look at it.......it's fantasmo, well done :2tsup:

I have just noticed that photos 5&6 have a smiley face on them :U
The bowl is about 300mm x100mm , the rim was done with spirit
stain and about 10 coats of N.C laquer , then when dry sanded with
wet and dry to 2000grit , and polished with cut and polish normally used
on the car ..
