Hi all, I'm having consistent issues with Dayacom pen ink. It takes quite some effort to get them writing and then once they do they last for about 20 seconds worth of scribble then stop again. Is this common or am I just very unlucky? Thanks

They aren't the best refills which is why many will replace them with better ones. Sometimes you get the opposite where they blob every few words. Most small sellers in the US sell Schmidt refills and Beaufort Ink in Scotland have good refills in their pens along with replacements of their own brand. Stationary stores will have branded refills in both the Cross type (Slimline) and Parker type (Sierra). Try a couple and see if you like them better. If you get genuine Cross refills they will cost as much or more than the Slimline kits.

As much as I like the look of the Dayacom Longwood, the quality they claim is just not there. I'll search for something similar :C

Might sound a silly question but are you removing the little waxy type seal they put over the ball before trying to use them?

yep removing it which isn't that easy! Probably just a bad batch or old stock.
