Still looking for info on a large auto copy lathe. Urpematic its a big baby has a 5hp three phase main drive plus a couple of smaller motors. Love to fire it up but dont want to turn it into a boat anchor. Need things like grade of oil for drive case, hydraulic fluid, settings etc. Its one of those things like a boat or vintage car dont need it but would be nice to have it running. Thanks if you can help. Dextadog

Have you posted a picture of this lathe? If you don't have any, take some, especially where the feed controls are. Is there a complete name for it with a manufacturing location? I put in Urpematic, and absolutely nothing comes up.

Ok, I put in a different search title, and got a bunch of different leads. Here is one. It has been sold and has no pictures, but maybe you could contact the seller and possibly could get a contact number of the buyer. It possible you get the info you need. Urpematic Lathe*SOLD*. Lathes for sale. TMS-Sales.com

Considering the price this one sold for, I can see your concerns about not wanting to mess it up.

I would imagine the oils used would be equivalent to what metal lathes use. One type for any of the gears, including the feed and another type for the ways. ............. Jerry (in Tucson)USA

I too get nothing. Your lathe would be used by furniture manufacturers, usually in a big plant. If there is such in AU you might try asking there. Also Tony at Machine Tool Archive (http://www.lathes.co.uk/page21.html)
might know something.
