cqvillas 6th May 2019, 01:59 PM Slabbed up some more Lychee over the weekend. Some really nice colours and grain in this log. Can only think that this tree has better colour than the last due to the soil it was growing in.
igalic 6th May 2019, 02:03 PM It's gorgeous.

Fumbler 8th May 2019, 05:56 AM fantastic, you should put some feet on that, whack on a piece of glass and it would be a very impressive coffee table.
especially pic no.3
cqvillas 8th May 2019, 01:49 PM Yes Fumbler, that would do the piece justice......
Euge 8th May 2019, 01:57 PM Beautiful figure and colours in the heart of that fork. Love seeing new woods I'm not familar with.
Thanks! :)
dai sensei 17th May 2019, 11:38 PM Certainly looks like some beautiful colours in that one, whether it lasts is another question. The splaying certainly also looks good, the tree was probably on its last legs
I scored a heap from a neighbour that was red like that, although not spalted like yours, but unfortunately as it dried it all faded away to the standard pale pink.
cqvillas 20th May 2019, 10:55 AM Hi Neil,
Yes, I found that also. Shame it doesn't stay the same colour when you first mill it.
Cheers Nev
