I am re-jigging my camera gear and looking to buy a new body & lens kit so I’m wanting to sell my Canon EF 24-70 F1:2.8 L series zoom lens. The L series are designed to have higher resolution and contrast than the standard lenses. I have had great photo quality from this lens on my 1DS Mark III.
This professional series lens is designed for the so-called ‘full frame’ cameras, i.e. a sensor the same size as a 35 mm film frame. It can also be used on one of the Canon digital SLRs with a smaller sensor and in that situation the optical length is multiplied by 1.6 – so 38 mm to 110 mm approximately, which is still a very useful zoom range for everyday shooting.
Perfect operating condition, no scratches or dings, with Canon 77 mm Protect filter and EW-83F lens shade. Some minor scuffing on the outside of the lens shade from being put in and out of the camera bag.
This lens is a couple of years old. It cost me about $2,500 when I purchased it and I’m looking for $1,000 for it now on these forums though will ask more if it goes to GT as buyers there always seek a discount!
