You might have to exchange your chuck for one with a larger internal thread. M33X3.5 and 1 1/4 inch X 8 are threads usually found on large swing lathes which use larger chucks. I have two lathes, a 20 inch swing Woodfast 1 1/4 - common for large US lathes, and a 350mm swing German Hegner M33 - common on large European lathes. I have seen a Sorby chuck that was natively threaded M33X3,5. I have two of the large Oneway Stronghold chucks with adapters for my two lathes.

Nova has an adapter for the G3 that goes up to 1 1/4 inch: Teknatool - Nova RH Insert, 1-1/4"x 8 TPI (https://www.woodcraft.com/products/nova-rh-insert-1-1-4-x-8-tpi) but that is 31.75 mm and may be the limit.

I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/PSI-Woodworking-LA3318-Headstock-Spindle/dp/B000KI8C9I to use a native 1 X 8 chuck on my Hegner and by pure dumb luck it tracks perfectly.

You might find or have made an adapter that would screw on to your M33 which would have a spigot turned down and threaded to fit into your Nova. There is a risk that if everything is not done with precision, or there is a bit of dirt or chip when mounting the chuck will not run perfectly way out there, as in waving around.
