Hello once again everyone here's my latest piece

"Celtic Pride" It's Teak with a hand cut Mahogany inlay turned, then a hand carved Celtic Knot rim (Both Sides) and burned inside edges for shading. The finish is Tru-Oil and this piece finished just under 12" diameter x 1 3/4" deep.

That's nice, lots of blood sweat and tears involved I would imagine

hang on, do you do that celtic rim yourself????? Of course I did the knot myself....It was hand drawn and hand carved with knifes and only the use of a small drill to make a 1/8" hole at each opening to make the carving a bit easier. I used these knifes https://www.amazon.com/Flexcut-Carving-Starter-Ergonomic-KN500/dp/B003Z7XNUO/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1COIQQGNKVP9L&keywords=flexcut+wood+carving+set&qid=1572441506&sprefix=flex+cut%2Caps%2C167&sr=8-6

Also the harp inlay was not done w/ a CNC hand done w/ a dremel.

Here are a few shots before it was finished, sorry I had more photos while carving but I cleaned my memory card by mistake before up loading the data.

Beautiful, you should be justifiably proud of your work.

That's a wonderful piece of turned artwork I have not seen the like to compare.A credit to your skill as a craftsman of obviously high standing.

I think you need a different display stand for it. That one looks like weird extension of the plate. Just a very basic one would look good, even a clear one.
It belongs in an art gallery or at my place :U

It belongs in an art gallery or at my place :UThanks again braintrust...I don't like this stand for this piece either so I'm hand carving one, I'll post this again when it's finished.
