Strange Dremel Pricing

I have used the Dremel Grout removal tool for a few jobs now and am doing a refresh of a bathroom. The grout hasn't been redone sine the 1990's. My first purchase about 2 years ago was a Dremel 568 tool which was the attachment Jig and also includes the bit as well. The bit snapped about 3/4 of the way through that de-grouting job so I dropped into the Big Green Shed and discovered that a bit on it's own (Dremel 569) was $30 but the whole jig with bit was $28 so I bought another Jig & Bit package.

Fast forward to this weekend....I got stuck into the de-grouting with my existing bit and after a couple of hours it sounded like it was making heavy work of it and is probably getting blunt. So off to The Big Green Shed and I decided to buy 2 new bits so that I didn't have to go back again in a day or two. There were the bits (Dremel 569) for $29.85 so I picked 2 off the peg then I spied the Jig Package on a lower shelf.....The Jig & bit package was $19.80 so I put the bits back and took the last 2 de-grouting Jig packs that were left. Now I only paid $19.80 each for 2 new bits instead of $29.85 each AND I now have 4 Tool attachments for de-grouting.

I have in the past viewed the same thing from Dremel I purchased one as gift I do not remember the actual figures although it twas considerably cheaper to buy the motor + 80 piece accessory kit together than
it was just to by the the motor on it's own

A few months ago I noticed the same thing in Melbourne, yet the local stand alone hardware store has the bit alone about the same or cheaper than with the jig.
Not sure what I am going to do with all these jigs though. In fact when I tried to use on my Dremel 4200, it was difficult to fit the bit to be projecting past the jig. (The Dremel 4200 does not have a conventional collet, but a toolless quick change mechanism.)

Strange that Dremel didn't make it fit the 4200. I bought my wife an earlier model Dremel a few years ago for her Bonsai but I wanted a rotary tool for my shed so I bought an el cheapo Ozito...the Dremel jigs & attachments fit on the Ozito. It is as if Ozito copied the Dremel in every aspect. Surely that wouldn't happen ...would it ?....:U

Here, there are several knock-off, almost clone-like copies of Dremel. As long as the bits fit the collets, off you go.
Why you find that odd-ball discount pricing, is anyone's guess.

The only thing that I've found to be profoundly different are the OEM cut-off disks which are (Dremel) thick and hard
versus the no-name which cut OK but they are thin and soft and prone to explode at 12,000rpm. Wear a full mask.
