Spalted Walnut Hollow Form

The first piece completed in 2020. Felt good to be able to start again in the shed after the festive break. I just needed something simple to start the year.

Hollow form from spalted walnut. Quite punky in places but managed to stabilise. Decided to add a lid and final. I think it could be displayed with or without top.

The asymmetry of the finial provides a contrast to the perfection of the form of the vessel.
