$22 too much, Marples are absolute rubbish, their shapes/ design are bloody awful and the steel is even worse, totally useless especially on good Aussie timber. Sorry

Thanks Chris, I only bid $20 as I already have a little used set of no-brand turning tool.

One of the great joys and equally great frustrations of the Forum is the diversity of opinion. See:

There is a big difference between a turning chisel and a normal chisel, trust me (?) their turning chisels just are not in the hunt. Put your twenty bucks toward 1 unhandled turning tool from P&N and you will be MUCH happier......

Hadn't thought of that. God, life's complicated.

I have a deep and abiding trust in the advice provided herein.

$20 is also a few schooners in the pub. Incidentally, the chisels have reached $42 so far.

Whislt I am abidingly stupid, a nod's as good as a wink to a blind horse.

My dollars will be more profitably directed over the bar on this occasion.

Somebody is approaching $60 in frenzied bidding.

Set of 9 Marples turning chisels plus couple of others on Ebay, currently $22

I sincerely hope you are not going to win this bid !!!
The current price of more than 100$ would have been worth only if these chisels were true antiques... so, for a collection it might be worth it... for a woodturner.... NOOOOOOO :)
