As far as I can see, all the woodworking/turning clubs in the area meet almost exclusively during the week, during the day. What I'm looking for is to see if there are like-minded folk who are probably working during the week but might have some evening or weekend time going spare. People who are interested in getting together to talk turning, maybe do some show-and-tell, swap tips, shoot the breeze, solve the worlds problems, maybe share a brew (coffee or beer, I'm ecumenical)?

I know it's a bit tricky at the moment, we have to respect the seriousness of the situation, but things are changing. Currently up to ten people can gather in an outdoor space for a non-contact activity. Or at a coffee shop, or a pub, but right at the moment I see a takeaway coffee in a park on the weekend or a cafe on a weeknight.

I'm in Narangba but not afraid to travel a bit for a good chinwag.

What do you think?

No interest?

I'll just leave this here in case.
