Being a newbie to this fine hobby I'm not up with all the species yet but I'm sure that some of you will know what species this is - and whether it is any good for anything woodworking? Possibly not as they are knarly as all hell but that may possibly make them "interesting"476098476099476100

Looks like Manuka to me ...." Leptospermum scoparium, commonly called Mānuka, manuka, manuka myrtle, NZ teatree, broom tea-tree, or just Tea Tree, is a species of flowering plant in the myrtle family Myrtaceae, native to south-east Australia and New Zealand" (Wiki)

Common along the Port Philip Bay coast :)
