A dude on reddit is giving away a giant pile of logs of a holy tree he just cut down.

Anyone want some holly? Cut down a massive holly bush today, I will keep some but most will be cut up for firewood. Anyone near Battle Ground, WA interested? : woodworking (https://www.reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/ib56s6/anyone_want_some_holly_cut_down_a_massive_holly/)

He is in Battle Ground WA.

Go grab it all!

May I get some of someone gets it? It would make for excellent stringing for inlay.

Holly might be available in Canberra.
I vaguely remember someone telling me the following when he saw the Holly teeth in my chainsaw. Which I’d sourced in Saskatoon.
When they built the planned capital each suburb had a species designated to be grown.
Holly was one of them.
So there might be some 90 year old stuff somewhere in the ACT.

There is holly and then there is holly. Holly is an environmental weed here in the Blue Mountains, but it is English Holly and does not feature the nice white timber that you would use for inlay. We had some donated to our Men’s She’d and there was great excitement among the luthiers (instrument makers). Soon disappointed by the drab shade of grey inside. It turns quite nicely though and not unpleasant on the eye.
