What did I buy, Drill Press

Hello All

I purchased a drill press yesterday. It needs work and a tidy up, but the price seemed like something I could not go past.
The only thing is, I don't know what brand or era this drill press is. I would appreciate any tips or information. The only marking is 408 and it has a crompton 240 volt motor. The motor is not running at the moment.
