Hello again from BC.
The steel locomotive boiler has a firebox 1" bigger in diameter than the drawings for the copper boiler. This leaves insufficient room for the regulator to mount up. After boring the steam tube holes to size the boring head is removed and a spotting drill marks the spot. These are drilled thru to give the positions for transfer bobbins to get the steam out to an external regulator. Thank god for good books.
Regards
BC
