Anyone else noticed this?

The 3 Bunnies that I get to have a grand total of about 4 pathetic, warped, twisted, split, stained, and knotted Jarrah palings left.

OTOH, they have about 6 kilometers of processed pine palings.

So what do I make my small tool handles out of now??

Cheers,
Andrew

Other small pieces of timber maybe?
now the smartybum has left me, try getting some hardwood palings from any local suppliers, spotted gum, ironbark, whitemahogany all make nice handles and are smooth in texture.

Jarrah palings? I'm gonna puke. :(

We've seen nought but CCA T/Pine at Bunnings here for yonks.

Buy the crap ones & post a pic.:p

Cheers..............Sean, beyond the paling :)

I happen to know a guy that has "bucketloads" of jarrah (all sizes) ;)

A while back Westfarmers, who own Bunings, had some ownership of a Jarrah plantation/milling setup and used to make fence pickets out of the "offcuts". But they sold their interest to a mob from tasmania. Now at the Bunnings near me we have cypress pine or treated.

Slavo, try Bunnys at Dural. They had them last time I was there. None at Thornleigh though.
