Hi guys, I have a model 4000 Dremel and trying to screw into the Vert drill stand. I have tried coming from the wrong side of the drill stand to check the threads and they are ok. However when I try engaging it in correctly it will not start to engage the thread at all. I have a very old old old model Dremel and seems to engage the thread no problems at all. The new 4000 I'm having no joy at all and ideas??
PS both the Vert stand and 4000 are quite new.

That seems an odd problem as I believe the thread designation has never been changed since their inception. Could your old model has had the thread worn in over the years and that's why it screws in whereas the new one is just new and tight?
Is the drill stand new too?

Hi. I got it sorted in the end. Basically I took the stand apart a little bit reversed the threaded locking nut and works fine. But it cross threads every time I try to do it as you expect. Bit of a pain to take nut off but takes an extra 2 minutes. But thanks for the reply.
