Wilson and Bradley do two flavours of the cheaper drawer slides - Kia Ora (https://www.wilbrad.com.au/shop/shop?cid=731&name=Kia-Ora-Drawer-Slides), and King Slide (https://www.wilbrad.com.au/shop/categories?cid=243&name=King-Slide-Runners).
The Kia Ora's are significantly cheaper, particularly when you buy in bulk.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these makes? I've used the big green shed's Goliath slides, and am not very happy with them (although it might be my hack-worthy installation that is to blame).

I'd prefer the push to open type, which Kia ora don't do, but they're so much cheaper that soft close would do if they're ok.

Price eg: Kia ora 400mm full extension soft close around $7.50 trade, vs $15 for an equivalent King Slide

mmm - looks like Kia Ora may be WB's own brand. King are Taiwanese

King Slide are alright for budget runners, but if you're putting then somewhere that'll get used a lot buy Blum. Yes I know they're 5 times the price, but once you've used them you'll never want to go back.

I bought some Kings last week and they were crap. I thought they were an upgrade on the Goliaths from Bunnings however I was wrong

Oops, I had King Slide confused with Accuride

Used to use the Accuride super heavy duty runners for extension tables.

I'll do a proper look & review when I have some time, but short answer is Kings and Goliaths are chalk and cheese. I did one quick drawer this afternoon and the King is so much smoother. I'm so used to banging the Goliaths around to get them to work. The king needs so little effort to get the push to open to trigger I think it's not working every time... and then it pops out.

I got a Kia ora slide as well, so I'll look at that too sometime soon. It's a soft close as they don't have a push-to-open option (I like the PTO's for workshop stuff as I don't end up with handles sticking out and catching on my delicate knees)

Bernie, see what Elraco have got, I have always found their prices fair and service good.

I bought some 550mm soft close drawer runners from Bradley and Wilson about eight years ago and have had zero problems. They still run smoothly and well.

They look very similar to the "king runners" but are totally unbranded except for a very small "made in China" logo.

Certainly not as good as Blum or Hettich, but less than a quarter the price. My considered assessment is that they are very good value for money.
