Does anyone know how the "Cat puzzle' on the www.chapmanpuzzles.com (http://www.chapmanpuzzles.com) is done please. I figured out that it starts from the tail but when it reaches the body of the cat the direction changes and I cut my first attemp wrong where the tail portion joins the body. If anyone has any clues I would be appreciative.

That's very clever. Do you have one of these puzzles?

Yep I have made one for my son who put an engagement ring inside instead of a mouse when he proposed. But I don't know how the tail piece that connects to the body was cut and so the whole tail section comes out. I got around this problem by using a rare earth magnet to hold it in place, but ideally the puzzle should only come apart one piece at a time. If you are just cutting in a straight line it is easy but because it changes angles when you reach the body of the cat it makes it hard to work out how that tail and body piece lock together.
