Thanks for the link, e-mail send, antler is hard to turn as you have to turn the emanel, the best antler is AXIS Deer, the antle is pure white and only emanel, 3m/m blood veine through it, but gone when you drill the blank

Thanks again

Serge

Any other supplier some one ? I can't rely on 1 supplier only:p

I have never used the real thing, but knife makers use some very nice resins and plastics that turn very well.

I thought I had a link to the UK based manufacture of this stuff but buggered if I can find it.

P.S. I can't turn a really good pen either, so just ignore any assistance I may try and give!

Hi all, I am new to the forum and turning. I just purchased Deer horns (naturally shed) off Ebay. The deer horn looks to small to turn, except for the base and I cant get a straight enough piece.

Anyway, I am now going with larger horns from Elk. They are very large, and mostly straight. If you watch ebay, you can get a set or sheds, for around $50 USD, plus shipping. Dont know whatAustralias laws are about importing these, but most of the sellers I seen will ship international.
