Hi all,
Reposting from the CNC forum as I made a newbie error.
In Australia, I looked over a Herless 5MK lathe last weekend. Tested its back lash, ran it at fast and slow speeds, tried moving the tail stock, engaged the feed screw. Seemed sound. My skills are not up to trying to turn anything with it as yet. No instruction manual for it.
Also part of the deal is Maximat V10 mill drill. This was mounted to its own rather hefty cast iron base and table.
Steadys, 3 and 4 jaw chucks and cutting tools are included.
The asking price for the lot is AU$2000.
Is this a good buy?
