I never really thought about how their work is constructed but I just watched this video on youtube by a kiwi woodworker - KingPost TimberWorks
Purple Heart Torsion box table - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Li4burUhU2g)
And he mentioned torsion box design. Then I had a closer look at the tables made by Nathan Day Designs - it looks like they use 2 floating tenons and 2 threaded rods + epoxy to join the legs to the table top - I cant find the specific post on it but I remember seeing this months or years ago. Never put any thought on it at the time...

Most of the bevel on the table top is done with 2 passes with a router? What do you think?
And the bevel on the legs looks like it was done on a saw? Then dialed in with various hand tools.
Just an appreciation post here I love the modern design plus doing things like torsion boxes and threaded rods in the joinery for strength + no aprons. All on tables that are huge. And to top it off some handtool work to make it beautiful
