I have a Rikon bench slow speed grinder 8" model and you'd think I could find a wheel for it that's 1/4" thick. I devoured the net as much as my limited knowledge of the internet allowed me too and all I could find was a website in England that had it. I would love to keep the money within Australia so does anybody know where I can one.

The specs are 200 x 6 x 31.75mm with a reducing busher 15.88mm (5/8) it must be in imperial since the machine is yankee.

Thanks China but they're selling in packs of 10. I only need one. Plus they do not offer a reducing busher.

I doubt you find them in single packs any where on the planet the wear down fast so it is more economical they are not general use items not too many situations call for 1/4" wheels as for bushing any saw doctor would have them.

Here they are in England
200 x 6 x 31.75 WA 60 KV Tyrolit Grinding Wheels (abtec4abrasives.com) (https://www.abtec4abrasives.com/200-x-6--x-3175mm-wa-60-kv-tyrolit--grinding-wheel-2000060592-178-p.asp) I've also seen them on eBay from England again

I suspect that you should be able to reuse the original wear bushing at least a couple of times with new wheels

a reducer is offered free of charge if I buy from eBay or that mob in England. It's the horrendous shipping fee that deterred me from buying it. I'll be much better off buying a 1/2" wheel locally than paying the ridiculous shipping fee.

Got to ask, why 1/4" ???

Thanks for the question. I was going to make various profiles for moulding planes like astragal, ogee etc. I have made myself an entire set of hollows and rounds back in 2017 which I wrote several extensive painstakingly long articles on it for "The Lost Scrolls of HANDWORK" magazine if you wish to read. They're available on my blog all issues free of charge. Journeyman's Journal – This is a journal of the art of woodworking by hand (https://journeymansjournel.wordpress.com) Unfortunately the shipping fee is more than I'm willing to pay and I thought I will instead buy a 1/2" wheel from Brisbane and work it down to 1/4.
