View Full Version : Plywood for Shaker Style Door Stiles and Rails

Hi Folks,

I'll be building some storage cabinets soon and really like shaker Style. Would I have any issue with warping if I used good quality 18mm or thicker plywood for the stiles and rails?. The panel thickness will be 7mm.

How are you going to deal with the hungry ply edges when finishing them? MDF is much less work

I'm getting some of this stuff which matches the red oak plywood: Edge Supply Brand Red Oak 2" x 50' Roll Preglued, Wood Veneer Edge Banding, Iron on with Hot Melt Adhesive, Flexible Wood Tape Sanded to Perfection.
