I purchase a Tatra engine from OS and had it ship by sea freight, once it arrive in Melbourne it goes threw the customs clearance checks and failed inspection which i had a feeling this would happen. OK so they said it needs to be clean to pass the biosecurity which was $200 for cleaning. OK no worries, well after about 3 weeks waiting i got a invoice for a bit over $900 that's includes $200 for cleaning and warehouse storage. Now what gets me is the cleaning that was done which was nothing at all by looking at the engine. I'm thinking why didn't they say it's dirty and we can not clean it up to the biosecurity standards, you will have to pay a penalty :?:?
