View Full Version : Linishall belt tracking adjustment

Picked up this linishall BG8 model - knowing it wasn’t tracking properly but the price reflected that.

From reading the manual I know the adjusting bolt is machined out of true and the general idea is to rotate the adjuster until the belt tracks properly.

I’m suspecting that either the adjuster or the arm it runs in are bent, as this is the closest I can get it to parallel, and hence can’t get enough adjustment to fix the belt running off to the right.

Here’s another photo showing the arm angle.
I would expect it to be parallel to the face of the drive wheel (straightedge is against wheel) but it’s miles out.

Anyone got the same machine to check?
