I have this timber pen blank , but I just can’t understand the name that is on the timber
Any help would be much appreciated

I will say - Pterocarpus indicus - also known as Narra / New Guinea Rosewood / Padauk / Amboyna. Closely related to - African Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii). It is also a native species in Australia, Iron Range rain forests etc.

Other common names Malay padauk, Papua New Guinea rosewood, Philippine mahogany, Andaman redwood, Burmese rosewood, asana in the Philippines, angsana, or Pashu padauk.

Then factor in the use of "standard trade names" which legally bundle a range of species together for commercial purposes. "NG Rosewood" that I have used came from a mate who purchased whole packs from Britton Timbers. The packs would contain wood ranging from a light honey brown right through to boards that were mostly orange brown (as above) and even with a range of orange, purple & red streaks. In his business he preferred the light honey brown boards. There were never enough of the boards with the stronger colours for him to use in his projects, so I would purchase them from him at his buy price - win win for both of us.
