Hello folks, not sure if this will get through, as my last post seems to have disappeared.

I am drilling this accurately pre-bored derlin or whatever it is, (failed with a case hardened lump of metal previously)
I would guess apart from proper support of the table, which would be managed with something like a bottle jack,

It would be handy to have a centring cone, and I'm questioning why I haven't seen folks using one
in conjunction with a mounted dial indicator or hard stop.
The latter likely being a better solution.
