Hi,

Does anyone know of a source for a drill bit for confirmat screws. They usually have 3 widths and need a stepped drill bit (5.5mm for the threaded section, 7mm for the shank and 10mm to recess the head). The screws I have are 7mm x 50mm. I've tried Specialty Fasteners in Canberra but they didn't stock them.

Thanks,
Hobbit

Hafele lists them in their catalogue.
Their number is 03 9212 2000.
I see they have an Wetherill Park NSW office also at 1800 806 307

I hope this helps...

If the locals can't supply them, Lee Valley & Rockler both sell them - delivery by Air will take about a week.

Hi,

Thanks for the leads to suppliers.

Guy - if you do recall the supplier, please drop me a line - the $30 sounds about right.

Regards

PS - I was in the US and Canada recently (my first and probably only visit) and had the chance to go to a Rockler and Lee Valley store and thought I would get one but neither store carried them.
