elongation when bending pipes

When designing sheet metal bends I just type in K value into the program and flatten the 3d model to get the final flat design. I imagine elongation also occurs when bending round pipes. I found very little written on the topic on the web or perhaps my search keywords are just not the right ones. Are you guys aware of any resource/book/article to help me gain more insight into calculating elongation for pipes?
