G'day Darley56,
Congratulations on the Desk Set, very well done. I reckon that the person you made it for would have to be happy with that.
Just a couple of questions. First - what is Emu Apple? I've not heard of it down here in South Oz, but then I don't get out much either. :D
And, is it an easy timber to work with, i.e turning etc.?
Regards,
Barry.

Grows well in a drier climate.

Interesting stuff, I wonder if it will hold it's colour.

Thanks Cliff, I've bookmarked the site.
Definetely an interesting timber, I wouldn't mind turning some. I hope to be heading up to Queensland towards the end of January so I 'll try to obtain a piece - for scientific study purposes only, you understand. ;-)
Very best wishes to you for the Festive Season & year ahead.
Barry.

Hi Darley56 - nice pen set, well done! By the looks of your first picture of the bit of emu apple it had a few borer holes - did the borer's go into the heartwood or just the sapwood?
