Seems a bit nasty to do that. Well done on the new family member, and the "good deed".

The last of my race horses (Pacers) is back in work. If he doesn't fire this time in, you can have him too. :D Keep a spare spot in the paddock. :(

Steve B, it's a fly veil, they can see very nicely thankyou, made out of material like flywire.
Farmhand, too young to be gelded (him not me:eek: ), about another year when the 'goodies' present themselves.
He will get a lot bigger, reckon he is about 200kg at the moment.
We just got in from carting hay which we had baled today and he has his eye on it already.
God I hate hay carting:(
Cut to pieces and itchy as buggery, even after having a shower.

Well done Iain

I imagine feeding them cannot be too cheap at times, but seems a shame that someone would consider putting a horse down because they cant feed them

Nice piece of horse there. I hope you will start 'educating' him soon - don't forget to make sure he understands all about 'BBQed Horse' if he doesn't behave.

Has Jnr. Miss decided on her Olympic mount for 2008/12 yet?

Yep, this is he, Sherbert (the lighter coloured one), big bugger he is too..... the dark one is Sir Cedric (PCAV) or Tiggeroo (EFA) who is currently keeping us destitute by competing at State level.
He will be down to visit Echnidna in Feb, well close anyway, Terang for the PCAV State finals.
