Hi first post i have a hafco hm52g mill and am trying to remove quill to update spindle bearings so far i have removed electric motor stripped gearbox removed quill lock removed fine and course quill feed complete with shaft out .
Then lowered quill as far as possible but it appears i need to remove female drive on top of quill this seem tight it appears to have bearing put up from underside of casting the bearing gears and circlips have all been removed from inside gearbox have given it some gentle persuasion with nylon deadblow to no avail, spoke with hare and forbes wasted my time any suggestions? thanks Robert
