Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Hare and Forbes surface grinders (the larger ones not the tiny one) and can comment on what its like, what sort of accuracy / tolerance it can achieve over its travels etc. - Just a moment... (https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/g218)

I know what general hare and forbes mill drills are like but sometimes their more expensive items are a little better. The next step up is their Bemato grinder which is near 30k hence my interest in this model for home hobby use.

I have a cnc mill and lathe at home and I was going to make fixtures etc. for these up to 300mm possibly more and I'd like very good accuracy. Yes yes, possibly barking up the wrong tree going to h and f but you never know (cough).

(incidentally if anyone in QLD is selling a second hand surface grinder esp. Chevalier let me know! :) )
