I am thinking about buying a new metal lathe for my work to upgrade from my Hafco AL-960B. So far I have been looking at Hafco AL-410 L569D - AL-410 Centre Lathe | Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse (https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/l569d) and the Hafco CL-38A L191D - CL-38A Centre Lathe | Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse (https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/l191d) and also the Asset 1640TR https://assetplant.com.au/product/ol...re-2-axis-dro/ (https://assetplant.com.au/product/old-categor-removed/toolroom/asset-1640tr-euro-toolroom-precision-lathe-1000mm-centres-410mm-swing-52mm-bore-2-axis-dro/)
I am keener on the CL-38A or the 1640TR as I believe it would be a much better upgrade than going from a Hafco AL-960B to the AL-410 with the CL-38A and the 1640TR being much solider machines and 20mm tooling size. What I wanted to know was if anyone has used or has either of these lathes and what their thoughts are and what people's thoughts are in general on these lathes. Thanks in advance.
