Sharing the journey – finale

Plenty of storage is one way to help keeping the workshop tidy. These cabinets are pretty easy to make but it did take a bit of time. I used a lot of off cut and MDF to minimize the cost. MDF is really woeful stuff and I have had enough of it.:mad:

It started 18 months and the garage wasn’t even built. I got the floor plan and used the workshop planer (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=15102)on the Grizzly website to organize the shop. Buying the machines was fun. I built a 2-stage dust bin (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=18664)which improves the efficiency of the dust collection system (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=21035). Building the workbench (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=22349) and tool cabinet (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=23568)was quite an experience and it was well worth the effort.

I can only see two things yet to do mate....

1. Paint the walls white - would help a lot I think.

2. Replace the basketball poster with a Penthouse calendar - my better half tells me it's not a workshop unless there's a girlie calendar on the wall :)

Thanks for the perv into your workshop, very nicely done.

You've spurred me to get my wall mounted cabinet built to hold similar stuff, but have to fit in with the toys I'm making, the fact that I should be staying put between 9-5 in the office and get my work done instead of going down to the shed and doing other stuff.

Also stumbled across the thread you started, "2-stage duct collection kit" which is another project I have to get around to.
