Segmented lazy-Susan

Gidday, made these segments on the bandsaw, supposed to be 12, but had a measurement wrong so made a half-size segment.
Lost a bit of timber when sanding and some of the curves didn't quite match when glued.
Working on a router cut model next.

Thanks, just need a some fettling to the prototype jig and it should be good.

find someone with a laser cutter/engraver, set the template (the hardest part) into computer and you will knock several out at once..

Made another jig for the bandsaw, cut heaps of small sections.
The segments fitted into a drawn diagram, but when fitted together still had a 1/2 segment gap.
Moved the sections out like a camera iris, and presto, fitted around a socket for illustration.

Worked out a protoype jig, worked good, made up a bit better one with semi-permanent stops.

530738 Doing the outer curve.

530739 Pivot the jig around to do the inner curve.

530740 And the result, not too worried about the hole in the centre, can bore and plug that.

First cut on the jig, thought I had enough rimu, but had to use a bit of cedar.
