Hi Guys,

I felt like a change of project this morning, so I dug out this drawing !

All the bits in green are holes ! The counter bored one is for an M6 cap screw. This is used to apply pressure to an 1/8" inch thick plate used to clamp the saddle stop to the lathe shears without damage or marking them. I've not done a drawing for the clamp plate !

The bottom hole is drilled to hold a 5 mm steel pin securing the clamp plate so that it cannot slide out, its square top against the inside of the recess prevents it rotating.

The hole at the top is tapped M8 and is used as the stop against the saddle. The hole could have a bush for a clock gauge if desired.

The sides were cut on the bandsaw down to a hole drilled in the corner of the recess, and then the waste was milled out using a long series slot drill. I've yet to drill the holes and tap them.
