I found a few pics of the Newport Railways workshops in Melbourne during WW2.

These are LP1 Machine Gun carriers , fitted with Ford V8 engines. The LP1 was only made in small numbers, the LP2 and 2A models with the welded hulls, there were around 5000 produced in different states including West. Aust.

We all need one of these mobile workshops ........
