Here's one that a customer ask me to do for her Wedding, Holly wood and crushed Turquoise stone.

Also, how did you get the crushed turquoise to stay put? I have seen similar stuff using it to fill cracks etc, but not as discs.

Did you simply glue a lot on with thick CA? Or was this a purchased form of crushed turquoise?

Cam the crushed stone are from BB at http://tinyurl.com/ccl77 (http://tinyurl.com/ccl77)all is glued with medium CA, the end cabochon is turned seperatly then add to the pen and turn to size, sander to 12000 grit and CA finish,

Thanks for the URL have ordered a packet of 100.

My wife is a member of a local calligraphy group and she and her fellow members have been having problems getting a quality holder. I should be able to make some now in Huon Pine and also Corian (if I can find a supplier of off cuts).

You're welcome those holder are good quality, now better to put yourself in from of your lathe and turn some pens:p

What kind of corian you chasing out? I mean colour and how many blanks do you want?
