Hmmm.

Nobody has a favourite haunt in the Brisbane area. That surprises me a little. I have a few shops that I know I will be visiting, but I thought that there might be some that are not so well known as others that are more widely advertised...

Steve you got it right the main ones are further up the coast or in the Gold Coast hinterland Like MT Tamborine. Other than that visit some of the weekend markets.

Hi Bruce (and others).

Perhaps I should not have been quite so specific and say just Brisbane. We will be travelling down to the Gold Coast and up to the Montville/Maleny area. Does that open it up further for suggestions of places to visit?

thanks.

Yep Montville / Maleny have a few to check out as well as Tony Hansons Gallery At MT Tamborine is worth a look. Thats about it for this part of the world not many places with good woodwork worth looking at any way.
