whale box

Well guys & gals it has been a while but thanks to my mate PTC i have come up with a new box and i called it the Whale Box. It is made of Huon (which Pete sent me) and i hope it looks like it is a whale. The finish is only a single coat of Danish Oil which i hope to increase to 4 coats over the next few days.

great,the shape came out very nicely.

i do not like oil ,
have tried it but prefer Wax,
Ubeaut traditonal works very well with HUON. the wax lets it get that aged colour.
WHEN I CAN GET IN THE SHED HAVE BIG LUMP OF KING BILLY PINE TO ATTACK FOR No 10 will try a 4 draw job.
will post pic of Billy befor sawing. it weights a ton.
