G'day.

I've never seen an old lathe like that but I have seen blokes die a painful death for putting 'old stuff' on the good lace table cloth. :D

Cleanest workshop I've seen for a while:D The lathe looks homemade.

Eh heh heh...Look at it this way - it's guys like me, that make it easy on the rest of you. It's definitely homemade. I picked it up at a swapmeet when I first began woodworking. It runs very true, but it's a pain to set up. It also has a machined faceplate for bowlturning. I looked on a few "antique machine" sites. There were some old foot operated wooden lathes, and old cast metal lathes...but never any hybrid affairs like this one.Thanks for the laugh. My wife watched my son carry it into the house for the picture, and didn't make a peep. Yeah.....she's a good woman.
