Clear oregon supplier wanted

Hi all,

Chasing some clear oregon on 4 x 2 and 8 x 2 for spars. Any suppliers recommended in Melbourne or Tassie ( I'm in Hobart).

There is a shipwright that works at Tamar Marine in Launceston, he has started using Celery Top Pine for spars, even thats not real good as far as being clear. Ask for Rudy, or Mitch at Almasts.
Those lengths that you are after may be very hard to get and very expensive. try looking for shorter lenghts and scarfing them? As much as I hate saying it try Gunns (wood chip=old growth forest).

I've used swampy before ( just reduced the scantlings) but I am specifically after oregon for the current project. I might be on to some here in Hobart from a mate in 6m plus lengths.

Can we mention Gunns on this site?
